Course Description
In this course you will study the basics of solid state physics, and how it manifests itself in the world around you. Click on Syllabus.

Many properties of solids are quantum mechanical in nature.  Topics include Phonons and Thermal Properties; Electronic Energy Bands; Electrical and Thermal Properties of Metals; Superconductivity; Semiconductors and Semiconductor Devices; and Magnetism and Magnetic Materials.
